Our organization serves all residents of Richland County. The programs can be classified into the six major areas: Public Health, Home Health, Family Planning, WIC, Maternal Child Health, and Environmental Services.

Community Resource Program
The purpose of this project is to reduce the disparities in health care services and access to health care by coordinating and strengthening integrated community health delivery systems for the uninsured and underinsured population.

Emergency Preparedness / Environmental
Emergency Preparedness / Environmental Services strives to promote health and quality of life by preventing or controlling those diseases or deaths that result from interactions between people and their environment.

Family Planning Program
Family planning assists women and men in understanding and taking responsibility for their reproductive health. It is accomplished through education, counseling and medical services.

Health Promotion
Richland County Health Department promotes activities that increase the levels of health and well-being of individuals, families and communities.

HIV/STI Testing
Free confidential HIV testing and counseling is offered by a trained registered nurse. Other services include: Examinations, treatment and follow-up for infections and sexually transmitted infections.

Compassionate care delivered to your doorstep.

Immunizations
Vaccines prevent disease in the people who receive them and protect those who come in contact with unvaccinated people. Vaccines prevent infection and save lives. Immunizations slow down or stop disease outbreaks.

Maternal and Child Health

Safe Communities
The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) defines a Safe Community as “a community that promotes injury prevention activities at the local level to identify and address local injury problems. It uses a ‘bottoms up’ approach involving its citizens in addressing key injury problems.”

Tobacco Prevention Program
The Tobacco Prevention Program offers comprehensive tobacco prevention and control measures in Richland County.

Tuberculosis Program
Richland County Health Department offers Tuberculin Skin Testing and medication for TB infections and TB active disease cases.

Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
WIC is a nutrition program for pregnant women, breastfeeding women for up to 12 months after delivery, postpartum women up to 6 months after delivery, and infants and children up to 5 years of age who live in North Dakota and meet the income guidelines.

Women's Way
Women’s Way is a breast and cervical cancer early detection program for eligible North Dakota women.
